Recent vandalism!!

Seems as though recently someone/ a group of people have deicded to vandalise the track and a surrounding area. Litter has been left everywhere, the diversions put in place to keep walkers/riders safe have been removed and also someone has destroyed new pedestrian warning signs!! We will find out who it is, but if you have any information you think will help then please contact us using the contact link above.

Wentwood Race 2009!!

Well this has always been one of our aims to get a Downhill race back at Wentwood. It seems as though we have succedded in that aim. Thanks to a partnership with the newly formed "Simply Downhill" We are able to bring you a new race on Sunday 1st March 2009 here at Wentwood. The race is push up only im afraid but an uplift route has been found which takes about 30-40minutes and not to tiring.

Entry varies from £20-£25 depending on category and there is no BC lience needed to race. Medical cover will be supplied by "Extreme medics" and proper timing systems will be used recording you best run.

For more information and to download the entry form visit www.simplydownhill.co.uk

Or discuss on our forum HERE

Who are we?

Wentwood downhill was started by a number of Wentwood's local riders. We aim to keep the track running smoothly with regular maintenance and also add new obstacles to keep the track challenging whilst also being a great destination for novice riders.

We would like to thank Jason (Dragon Downhill) for allowing us to maintain the track. And also to the woodland trust and forestry commission for working with us to maintain Wentwood as a MTB destination.

Bottom Section Rebuild!

We have re - built the bottom section which previously had turned into a long rut due to drainage and MX issues. The New bottom section starts in the same place but forks off around the first corner. It is easy to see but Please Look before you ride.

Important Track Changes!!

To comply with the changes suggested by the Woodland trust at our last meeting there have been some changes to the current track. These Start from the straight before the first compression until where the first road gap use to be. For full information on the track changes and also pictures of the new section click here

Anyone Riding the Track!!

Always wear protective equipment, a minimum of Helmet (Full face advised), Knee/Shin pads and gloves. Give right of way to walkers and horse riders at any point on the track. Please take your litter home with you or place it in the bag provided. Ride within your limits! We are NOT responsible for any injuries that may occur.
