Your never to old to ride.
Im loving those old school forks on the bike.

Look forward to seeing you on one of our rides.
Or if we are slacking and not putting rides up for a week or so don't be afraid to put up a new topic and im pretty sure a few of us will make it up.

Cheers for the welcome mate. Im gonna pop my wentwood cherry this saturday so hopefully will see you up there. The bikes not bad for 400 quid with full fox body armour, 661 helmet and leg guards. All that needed doing was the fork oil seals and shock bush. Don skene said the bike is about 4-5 years old. Apparently the forks were quite pricey when they were new. Its only a stop-gap anyway. If i do get into the downhill scene seriously then ill probably treat myself to a Trek Session 88 or something similar. The diamond back sabbath looks very tasty, or maybe sam hill's iron horse.

I think i might take you up on that offer dan. Im looking to get my first proper go on the bike this weekend so it looks like ill busy on both days. Always wanted to do downhill since i was a kid but never had the money to buy a proper downhill bike. Now i finally got the chance, i cant wait. Where was it you said you were going on the weekend? I've never heard of mountain air, or was it just a typo.

The Mountain Air is a pub which is just under the mast on top of the mountain above Cwmbran, you can either get up there from Cwmbran side which starts off in Upper Cwmbran or you can get up Pontypool side if you drive up to Cwmyscoy go up passt the Wheatsheaf pub keep following the road up until you see Th Lamb Inn pub, follow the road around to the right then just keep going along the top until you see the carpark on your right hand side,we have about 10 tracks dotted about in this area.
