Well they dont hate us. Ive had
conversations with some and they are alright. (as people) Just give them a
MTB track and a MX bike and then we dislike them.

ye, most Mxers that stick to mx tracks are
alright but most of the ones that ride in the forests are complete twats.
Ive had mxers come and try and be all friendly with me then they go ride
down our DH trail and i get soooooo pissed, caus like we would have just
finished doign maintance on a berm and an hours work is destroyed after one
mxers wheel spin GRRRRR.

I usto race motocross but only ever used my bike on official tracks and only
rode it practice or race days.

Dont get MXers confused with dumbasses/chavs on crossers that fiddle sticks about in
the forest thou.

Most of them at wentwood are 30-40 year
olds with beer bellies who try to show off by riding through trees. If it
wasnt wrecking the track i would quite happily watch them ride into tree
stumps and fall off all day.

top tips:

set traps for them ie; put nails in wood and leave it were u know they ride
to gain entry to ur track
wave you spades at them and tell them you are guna hit them with it
through logs/sticks/rocks at them if they ride down ur trail

if all this fails try diplomacy

putting nails in the woods is not a good
idea.. u know what will happen if a rider steps on one! plus most of them
join at the fire roads an ride up or follow paths that the dhers use to get
to the track..

most of them are not good on their mx bikes.. or worse quads!! they realy
make a mess..

they only ride the dragon because they can there are other tracks which they
dont ride as they are to tight and steep and they will crash or they just
dont know where they are!!

best way to catch them out is to build the
course have a camera handy and film them and there license plates as they
scream down the track. take the evidence to ure local police station and
make them do something about it, they will have to take notice as the
stupidity of these MXers could potentially cause harm or death to any mtbers
or walkers. if we do it legally then we dont potentially risk breaking the
law to get rid of the fools.

this is a good idea but some weeks the mtxers dont come up at all. if they
are using their mtx bikes for offroad they probably do not have a number
plate

I had an e-mail back from the FC today here
are the most important bits.

Wentwood now has a local community police officer by the name of Lee Gray.
He is contactable on 01633 420222 or by email on
lee.gray@gwent.pnn.police.uk . Lee spends quite a bit of time at weekends
patrolling Wentwood and he has made an impact on the level of illegal
motorcycling, however, to eradicate this problem will probably never happen.

If you and your mates encounter off road motorcycles and they have a
registration plate then try to record the number and pass it on to Lee.
Also, any vehicles or vans parked up that have obviously been used for
transporting bikes, again, take the registration number and pass it on to
Lee.

A co-operative effort is the only way to reduce this problem so any help you
can give will be very welcome.
